Cybernetic-physical functions of road infrastructures in the ITS environment

The application of information and communication technologies in the field of transport has led to the transformation of physical components of the transport system into cyber-physical systems. Road transport infrastructure is being transformed into an intelligent transport infrastructure, which requires changes in the approach to its design, construction, maintenance and management. In order to successfully transform the physical road infrastructure into intelligent road infrastructure as a component of intelligent transport systems, it is necessary to consider what changes this transformation brings in its functional and operational terms.
