INFLUENCE OF TECHNICAL CORRECTNESS OF MARINE DIESEL ENGINES ON THE VALUE OF OPERATION INDICATORS

In the water transport system, ships have a major production role in the process of transporting goods. For this reason, it is necessary to focus the organization of the transport process on the efficient use of vessels and the improvement of methods of managing transport processes. One way to determine the utilization rate of transport fleet vessels and to analyze the operation is to calculate the actual values of the exploitation indicators. The results presented in the paper are based on the data obtained during the experiments performed with several push-boats in real navigating conditions on the Danube River. Experiments carried out with ships under realistic conditions of navigation are necessary in order to determine their working ability. Assessment of the ship’s performance was made on the basis of precisely measured power and RPM on the propeller shafts, which was performed using torsion meters and speed of navigation, which were achieved at different loads. The transport efficiency indicator was used to evaluate the ship’s performance during both experiments.
